As much as we want to serve you, and give the appropriate care that is due you, please be informed that J.R. Borja General Hospital is operating at 209% capacity for its COVID areas, with no increase in staff.

What this means if you seek consultation at our emergency room:

1. There is a more prolonged process of the giving of medications and IV fluids, registration, and assessment prior to the admitting process because we will be doing triaging. Our nurses and doctors will prioritize the most ill patients first.

2. The accommodation is challenging in terms of the environment as it is at the side of the hospital building but within the hospital premises. Beds may not be available, and only chairs will be provided for you.

3. There is a tendency for your accommodation to be together with other patients with the same or different symptoms. You may get another infectious disease while you are in the hospital.

It is better to consult your doctor as soon as you experience symptoms. Early consultation means you might be able to avoid going to the ER, or get admitted.

Being vaccinated will help increase the possibility that you will not get severe or critical COVID-19 disease.

We urge you to stay home as much as possible, but if it is necessary to go out - wear your mask and face shield at all times, keep a distance of 6 feet from other people, avoid touching your face, and wash your hands with soap frequently.
